What affects the cost of a locksmith?

Your lock: a basic cylinder costs less than a high security or British Standard lock.
Your door: uPVC, composite or wooden doors use different locks and mechanisms.
Parts: a simple adjustment needs no parts; a new gearbox or mechanism does.
Security level: anti-snap or high security cylinders cost more, but protect your home better.

How much does uPVC door lock repair cost?

uPVC door lock repair and realignment is a guide £79-£229+, and a new gearbox or full mechanism £89-£375+. The price depends on the fault and the parts needed.
